3h agoPie lovers plowed their way through an assortment of pumpkin, apple, cherry and pecan pies from Riesterer's Bakery in West Hempstead Monday.
It was all part of the 11th annual pie eating contest and giveaway hosted by the law firm Siler & Ingber of Mineola.
The winner got a trophy, a kitchenware package, jewelry and a $500 gift certificate.
Free pies for the holidays were also handed out.
