Alfie’s Pizza in Rocky Point has partnered with Last Chance Animal Rescue to help dogs and cats find their forever homes.
Images of the animals will be on pizza boxes in the hope of getting them adopted.
Mackenzie DeLuca is a volunteer with the rescue.
She said the rescue works with high-kill shelters in the south, and that right now, the situation is “critical” because shelters are at “triple” the capacity they can handle.
She said the rescue “jumped at the chance” to have the images on the pizza box, adding “it’s amazing to have that kind of community support.”
