There are many practical steps people can take to reduce neck pain. Alicia Hirscht of Orthopedic & Neurosurgery Specialists says she treats a lot of patients with neck issues.
"The studies show anywhere from 50 to 70 percent of the population are suffering from neck pain on any given day across all ages and genders," said Hirscht.
Ways to alleviate neck pain include:
  • Get up every 20 minutes and walk around or move in place
  • Do a chin tuck or shoulder pinch every 20 to 30 minutes
  • Hold your phone and devices closer to eye level
  • Don't sleep with head and neck curled up
Hirscht also recommends people de-stress and increase blood flow by working out.
