News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Krystal Ellis says to expect another beautiful day on Sunday with temperatures in the mid-80s.
WHAT'S NEW: Wonderful weather continues for Sunday and Monday. Beach and boating weather will be tranquil as well. There is a floating debris hazard for boaters to be aware of in the Long Island Sound from previous flooding in New England.
WHAT'S NEXT: The weather looks nice throughout much of the week with a few chances for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. More chances for an isolated shower or storm will return late in the week in conjunction with high heat and humidity. Although, there is plenty of dry time to enjoy along with great beach weather. The temperatures and humidity gradually tick up through the workweek. Thursday through Saturday will be hot and humid.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and warm with highs near 86. Slight chance for an isolated spritz, sprinkle or shower in the afternoon. North winds switch from the west by afternoon around 5-10 mph.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Mainly clear with lows near 68. South winds 5-10 mph.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny and nice with a slight chance for an afternoon shower or thunderstorm. Highs near 85. Lows near 71.
