The search is on for a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in Bay Shore early Saturday morning and then left the scene.

The crash happened on Redington Street shortly after 3 a.m.

Police have identified the male victim as 30-year-old Elvin Ponce.

Investigators are asking any witnesses to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at <strong>1-800-220-TIPS</strong>.

There's an outside chance you might see a brief flurry on Wednesday morning. Otherwise we're going to be dry through Friday and we have a warm up on the way. Even beyond this week, temperatures will be trending above normal. So, yes, the next two days will be chilly. But after that, I think we're going to start to see more of those fifties popping up on the map. So Wednesday, Thursday will be dry.
