Pedestrian fatally struck by car in Watermill
Police say the crash occurred in the area of Deerfield and Head of Pond roads.

Southampton police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in Watermill.
Police say a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the area of 970 Deerfield Road at around 8:30 a.m. The victim has been identified by police as Stefanie Rock, of New York City.
Police say the 29-year-old was running northbound when she was struck by the four-door sedan traveling southbound.
She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police say that the driver remained at the scene and was cooperative and was transported to Southampton Hospital for evaluation, according to police.
