A man is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Nassau County.
The 44-year-old male pedestrian was crossing Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park when he was struck, Nassau police say.
The incident happened near Nassau Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Detectives tell News 12 the man was crossing outside of the crosswalk when he was hit by a 2016 Ford.
The 58-year-old driver remained at the scene.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
