Lexi Mama is a 6.5-year-old girl who has spent most of her life in the shelter system. She was adopted, but recently returned. Lexi Mama takes a long time to warm up to new people, which her adopter knew. She is a special girl, looking, once again, for that special person or family, willing to put in the time and be patient with Lexi. After all these years in the shelter, it's no wonder she may have some issues that need addressing. Lexi is currently looking for a solo pet home.
Little Ritchie came to the shelter as a stray in August of 2018. This 3-year-old boy was found with wounds on top of his head and thankfully a veterinary took care of him as soon as possible. Little Ritchie was not setting well in the kennel, and the shelter's behavior team has worked on him throughout his stay. Little Ritchie is looking for an experienced adopter that is going to continue giving him structure and work on his issues; guarding and sensitivity to handling. Little Ritchie takes times to warm up to strangers, but with time, we consider him to be a Velcro dog once he bonds to you. Little Ritchie just wants a yard to play in, with possibly another energetic playful dog. This boy also passed his cat test at the shelter.
Blue needs a miracle. He is 3 year old, and came to the shelter as an owner surrender in April 2018. Blue grew up with children, but due to some guarding issues, we are recommending him for a home with children 17 and older. Blue knows many commands (a ton actually), and is house trained. Blue is clearly extremely gorgeous, so that doesn't hurt. Blue is going to need a savvy owner, one who will be willing to be patient and help him overcome any issues or fears he may have.
