Paul Simon and his wife Edie Brickell were arrested after a domestic dispute over the weekend.
Police showed up at the couple's home in New Canaan, Connecticut after someone dialed 911 and hung up. Both were arrested after police determined there had been an "altercation" and that there was probable cause to make the arrests.
Standing next to his wife in court today, the 72-year-old music legend told a judge that the fight between he and his wife was not a big deal. "The both of us are fine together," he said.
Simon and Brickell, 47, held hands in court, and a judge declined to issue any protective orders. They were both charged with disorderly conduct, issued summonses and released.
Simon told the judge that he and his wife were heading to their son's baseball game together after the court appearance.
Both are due back in court next month.
