A person placed into isolation at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan has tested negative for the Ebola virus.
The state Department of Health says the patient was quarantined based on their recent travel to Mali and symptoms they began having upon returning to the United States.
The individual, whose identity has not yet been released, was picked up in Brooklyn early Thursday and taken to the hospital.
The patient will have further Ebola tests in the coming days to confirm the negative result.
