A teacher is behind bars after being accused of sexually assaulting a student in a classroom in Paterson.

Prosecutors say Paul Yang, 32, abused the 9-year-old girl during the school day in October.

It is unclear if Yang is still employed with the school district.

Officials say he could face up to 10 years in prison.
