Parents from across Long Island rallied in Mineola, calling for the reinstatement of five-day a week in person learning and fall sports.
The parents rallied outside of the Nassau Legislative. They also want clubs and activities to resume.
"Our children need their education," says Rose Stein, of Massapequa. "They need consistency, they need their friends and they need to see their teachers."
Nassau County Executive Laura Curran issued a statement regarding sports that reads in part, "Since we've reopened I've strongly advocated for the resumption of organized sports because of its importance to the health and well-being of our youth. I'll continue to communicate with all stakeholders to work towards a sensible solution that puts safety first."
