Parents call on East Hampton Town Board to save Montauk Child Care Center

The center's current operator, The Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, is pulling out of the center. In a letter to parents, the group blamed rising costs.

Parents on the East End are trying to save a day care center in the area.
On Thursday, they asked the East Hampton Town Board to take over the Montauk Child Care Center or help fund it while keeping tuition low.
The center's current operator, The Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, is pulling out of the center. In a letter to parents, the group blamed rising costs.
Those in the community have also started an online petition to try to keep the facility open.
