Mother's Day will look a lot different for Long Island moms this year.
Florists and restaurants are adjusting to keep business going during the pandemic.
Oyster Bay florist NT Design can't have anyone in the store but is taking orders for delivery and curbside pickup on South Street. NT Design will also have a pop-up shop outside Coach Meeting House on Mill River Road Sunday.
"I'm ready for the last-minute Mother's Day," says Nicole Taroncone, of NT Design. "It's hard sometimes to plan in advance, but I definitely have your bouquets ready and your vase arrangements for all those last-minute orders."
Revel in Garden City is offering to-go orders for Mother's Day brunch and dinner.
"It's our way of giving back for families to enjoy mom and Mother's Day," says Jim Doukas, of Revel Restaurant.
Elsewhere, RGNY Winery in Riverhead is partnering with other local businesses on special gift sets. Salt and Sweat Spa in Plainview, though closed for now, is offering a special 40% Mother's Day discount for all services.
