One of Long Island's biggest food festivals will be back this year after a two-year hiatus.
The Oyster Fest is back after being on hold because of the pandemic.
"From delicious food vendors, various merchandise, amusement rides, a waterfront family zone and the list goes on and on and on," says Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joe Saladino. "For all the excitement, Oyster Fest '22 has something for everyone."
Harlan Friedman, one of the organizers of the Oyster Fest, says he started volunteering when he was a kid.
"It was very hard for them for the last two years, they really had zero fundraising platforms so to be able to bring this back - it's a great pleasure," Friedman says.
Friedman says the iconic Long Island seafood festival also raises funds for the town's nonprofits.
The Oyster Fest will be held at Theodore Roosevelt Park on Oct. 15 and 16.
