Officials are warning about scam emails taking advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino says fraudulent emails urging gift card donations for health care professionals have been circulating.
Saladino says the emails appear to be from elected officials and claim to benefit front-line workers.
Saladino says the Town of Oyster Bay would never solicit money from its residents and to be critical of all requests for money.
