Orange County offers active shooter/hostile event seminar to keep you safe

After the recent mass shootings in Uvalde and Buffalo, the Orange County Sheriffs’ Office is offering a seminar to help you stay safe.
The sheriff is hosting an active shooter/hostile event information program on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
The seminar will take place at the Orange County Emergency Services Center at 22 Wels Farn Road in Goshen.
They say their active shooter/hostile event (ASHE) program is based “upon public education/knowledge on the best practice of avoiding an incident (through observation, target-hardening and pre-planning) mitigating an emergency (discussing your options during an incident) and an opportunity to ask any of your specific questions to our specially trained personnel.”
They add that by completing the seminar, staff can schedule site assessment at your location, if required.
No reservations are required and is open to the first 200 attendees. They say dates for future seminars will be added.
