A new effort is being made to stop underage vaping in Suffolk County.

Suffolk County Executive Ed Romain, Legislator Mazzarella, Suffolk County Police Commissioner Waring announced Operation Smoke Out – a push to increase compliance checks and crack down on illegal and underage vape sales.

The effort comes on the heels of Suffolk County police arresting five people on Thursday for selling vape products, cannabis and alcohol to people under the age of 21 during compliance checks at multiple businesses.
