A person pulled from a house fire Monday in Seaford was taken to the hospital in critical condition, fire officials say.

Nassau County Chief Fire Marshal Michael Uttaro says crews were called to Crescent Cove Court at around 7 p.m. when somebody inside was trapped on the second floor.

Uttaro says 100 firefighters from the Seaford Fire Department along with firefighters from four other departments responded. He says the fire was under control in about an hour.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
