Officials say an armed robbery suspect barricaded himself inside of his home in Hewlett Harbor on Sunday.

Police say a man displayed a gun and robbed a clothing store on Rockaway Avenue in Valley Stream on Sunday afternoon. Detectives say that man barricaded himself inside of his own home, located on East Rockaway Road.

Police negotiators were at the scene along with the Bureau of Special Operations to ensure that the public was safe.
