Officials
say Nassau County is now the state’s
most vaccinated county.
According
to Nassau County Executive Laura Curran, 90% of adult residents have received
at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose.
The number
is 11% ahead of the state’s vaccination rate, and about
15% above the nation’s, according to new data released from the New
York state Health Department.
Nassau
also has the second-highest adult vaccination rate among the 40 most
populous counties in the United States.
