Police say they were forced to open fire on a man Friday night in East Meadow.
According to police, Jason Wissel threatened his neighbor with a gun after they got into a fight over parking on Stanley Road. When officers responded, Wissel allegedly came out of his house, pointing a sawed-off shotgun and rifle at the officers.
Police say the officers then fired at the man. Wissel was not struck, but he was taken to the hospital.
Several weapons and an ammunition cache were found in Wissel's home, police say.
