NYPD searches for suspects linked to violent Bronx robberies

Multiple suspects in the Bronx are wanted in connection to two robberies in University Heights in the past week, according to the NYPD.
In the first robbery, a 37-year-old man was approached by two men who demanded his money, and then slashed his face and arm. Police say they got away with the victim’s cellphone, but he’s expected to recover from his injuries.
The second robbery, that took place last week, was caught on camera and shows an older man making his way to an apartment building when another person approaches the victim. The suspect looked around several times before they are seen digging through the 61-year-old victim's pockets.
The victim falls down the building steps due to the struggle and the suspect fled right after. Officials say the older man managed to hold onto his wallet but hurt his head and knee.
Anyone who has any information about either of these robberies is asked to call police.
