City cops and firefighters always play hard when they meet in various charity sporting events, but yesterday's hockey game got out of hand.
Cellphone video that was posted on YouTube recorded the annual game between the NYPD and FDNY at Nassau Coliseum.
The benches of both teams emptied as fists were thrown.
Referees did all they could to break it up, but the fight lasted several minutes.
The game continued and the NYPD won 8-5.
Officials from both departments have declined to comment.
