NYPD: 14-year-old girl dead following Queens collision involving teen driver

Police say a 16-year-old boy was driving the car and the 14-year-old girl was the passenger.

A 14-year-old girl is dead, and a 16-year-old boy is now recovering at a hospital after a collision in Queens Wednesday night.

Surveillance video posted on Citizen App shows the moments the red car collided with a parked UPS truck near 160th Street. Police say a 16-year-old boy was driving the red car and the 14-year-old girl, identified as Fortune Williams, was the passenger.

The 14-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The 16-year-old boy was taken to Cohen Children's Hospital and is in stable condition.

The UPS driver was not seriously injured.
