Nyack Public Schools have announced that the school board and Superintendent Susan Yom have agreed to part ways.

Yom and the board made the decision during Friday's school board meeting.

Yom, who was named superintendent in December 2022, will officially leave her position on June 30.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Lizzette Ruiz-Giovinazzi will take over the position on an interim basis.

In a statement Yom said in part, "As I leave Nyack, I am filled with immense gratitude for the incredible journey we've shared. I will deeply miss the camaraderie and spirit of this remarkable community."
