With tens of thousands of people expected to descend on Long Island's Bethpage Black golf course for the Ryder Cup, security is a top priority, and one the New York State Police does not take lightly.

They says they've brought in "several hundred" additional troopers from upstate for the event, in addition to adding cameras in and around the park, and will have multiple helicopters providing video feeds back to their nearby command center.

State police will be working with other local agencies during the Ryder Cup, including Suffolk and Nassau county police.

When asked about President Donald Trump's expected visit to the course this week, Major Stephen Udice tells News 12 they planned for a presidential visit when putting together their security plans. Also, they will be scanning social media and other sources for any potential threats.

State police say there are no credible threats at this time.
