Norwood residents are sounding the alarm over a major leak coming from two vacant buildings in Norwood, leaving sidewalks flooded.

The FDNY says it responded to 241 and 239 East 207th streets just before 11:40 p.m. Thursday. About 18 hours later, water continues to pour from beneath the buildings' doors and out of its vents.

Neighbors say the water has not been shut off as of Friday evening, raising concerns about ice with a frigid weekend approaching, as well as structural damage.

The Department of Environmental Protection says it's aware of the issue and is actively investigating the cause of the leak.
