Norwalk police officers joined the community for Coffee With a Cop at Norwalk's Stew Leonard's Friday.
Officials say sharing a cup of coffee in a relaxed setting helps them forge a bond with the people they serve.
Coffee with a Cop is a nationwide program that Norwalk started offering several years ago.
"We implemented it several years ago. It's quite successful. It was slowed down by COVID but we're getting back at it once again at several establishments throughout town. So anyone who wants to sponsor an event we'll gladly work with them and host an event," said Chief James Walsh, with the Norwalk Police Department.
He says the most common topic of conversation involves traffic concerns.
