Timothy Brojer, the Northport Village administrator, was arrested Tuesday on multiple charges, including public corruption.

Brojer is facing public corruption, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property charges.

The felony complaint says between April and July of this year, Brojer allegedly stole a sliding glass door, windows and sheet rock from the village. Prosecutors say the total value is $6,000.

Village Mayor Damon McMullen did not want to talk specifics of the alleged theft to News 12 but added the village did notice something amiss and launched its own investigation before contacting the Suffolk County district attorney.

"We do have a lot of checks and balances in place and it's through that that we were able to uncover what we came across," said McMullen.

Before his arrest, Brojer resigned from his position. He had served in that position for five years.

Brojer was released without bond. He is due back in court next month.
