Nonprofit helps plan ‘Prom for the Promless’ in Fairfield

Members of the nonprofit Refresh, Renew & Restore Outreach has teamed up with Macy's and Kelly's Services to bring hundreds of prom dresses to young women who couldn't go to their proms because of financial challenges.
They are also putting on a “Prom for the Promless” event in Fairfield on June 18.
Michelle Washington, a Bridgeport grandmother, says being a member of the group has provided her a way to give back.
"When I was a senior at Central, I was a teen mom and I couldn't go to my prom, so this touched me,” she said.
