The Nassau Interim Finance Authority unanimously approved funding for the county's police bodycam program Monday.
Under the program, Nassau police officers who wear the body cameras will receive $3,000 a year.
County lawmakers approved an agreement last month with the police union to implement body cameras.
A pilot program is expected to begin in two precincts in September.
