I took it this morning. They have a tree out there every year. They have a bucket with shells and stuff. You can decorate it. It's awesome. It's so cool. Now I see the shells have little mess. You can write whatever you want. Oh, I love that. So much fun. It was nice morning at the beach we had that sun you can see in the photo but clouds coming in through the afternoon and now there's a little bit of a chill in the air. So tonight temperatures go down to 30 tomorrow, we're near 40. It's going to be partly sunny to mostly cloudy. There is a tiny chance for a brief Sprinkle or flurry of storms passing off to our south and east. If you do a shower, it will be very brief and most of the day will be dry. So tonight, mostly cloudy in the morning, there's your thirties. We have a wind out of the north that keeps the colder weather around for the next two days. You can see a hint of a Sprinkle or flurry here or there, but we're clearing out tomorrow night. Same thing on Thursday morning, sunshine, temperatures in the twenties to near 30 less of a breeze. And then the afternoon is mostly cloudy with just this cold air. Uh, that will be around for the next few days. Friday will start to brighten up and warm up as well. We're in the thirties and the morning getting close to 50 in the afternoon with a great start to the weekend. Saturday is going to be awesome. Lots of sunshine, warm temperatures up to about 55 and on Sunday we're close to 60 but clouds come in late. It's breezy with south winds and after four o'clock, we're watching rain. So most of Sunday now is trending drier. The rainfall will be more towards the evening and early at night and then clearing by Monday morning. So the timing of that is a little bit better. At least you'll be able to get out for the first half of the day overnight, mostly cloudy and cold near 30 degrees with the north breeze. Tomorrow, we're near 40 again. 42 Hempstead, 41 in Medford and 39 in Bridgehampton. So you see that chilly weather through Thursday, 50 Friday, Saturday, 54. And then that rain Sunday to Monday, we're clearing out next week. Nice and seasonable with temperatures in the forties. All right. Thank you, Sam. News At 10 anchors Doug Geed, Mackenzie Maynard reminisce on introduction to Long Island

as you know, this is the first week Doug and I are anchoring the news at 10 and since I'm a brand new long islander. Doug spent last week show me the ropes alright. And we've been sharing those adventures with you tonight. Our final journey that might help you get to know Mackenzie a little more doug, What a great week it's been. I can't believe all the things in places we were able to see in a short amount of time. I mean historic destinations downtowns and we ate a lot of good food. So yeah, we sure did. So what was your takeaway? What did you learn? Well, I live on Long Island, not in Long Island and I won't be making that mistake. Kind of a dead giveaway for a newcomer to the island. Probably heard about that on social media a little bit. I had a couple of messages, friendly ones, Welcome to the island and letting me know to not make that mistake again, you know? But ultimately this has just been such a great week because it's a childhood dream of mine. Yeah, I heard about this, the Mackenzie show or something. Yeah. You know, it started at a young age in elementary school all the way from los Angeles California. Here is the Mackenzie talk show. Hello Mackenzie, you're watching my show, Let's welcome to the stage is what paralyzed Caroline. Hey, great show. Mackenzie and I hope I proved to be as good a co anchor as your brother was. He set the bar pretty high. But I have faith, you know, and speaking of childhood dreams, this is something that you've always wanted to do. Yeah, I was in my mind for a long time. You know, it's so ironic. A block from where we're standing at science in high school, where I graduated, wrote for the school paper, had dreams of being in the news. Business News. 12 is two miles from the high school. I never thought I'd have a 35 plus year career when I was in school. Word on the street as you were also a pretty good high school athlete. I had fun. I ran track for many years actually, little fun fact here I was an all county sprinter in the 100 yard dash. What? What, what are your high school exploits. Well, not to top you, but I was president of my high school and I was best smile. Superlative winner. Look at this popularity over here. Well, you know, long Islanders are lucky they get to see that smile every night at 10. Well, you know, I'm smiling because I get to be next to you and already I know we've just talked about this, but one weekend you've taught me so much. Actually one more thing about Long Island. This is called a house. No one can afford them. And even if you get one, you can't afford the taxes. All right, good to go. Alright. This is the big moment though Mackenzie, your final exam just sum up what it is to be a long islander. Here we go. I love pizza, love bagels, hate taxes, hate traffic. Can't wait for summer for the beaches. That's it. You summed it up. You summed up Life for three million people. Welcome. Welcome. You guys are so much fun. I'm so lucky to work. Thank you.
