News 12 Long Island is celebrating its 25th birthday today. On Dec. 15, 1986, News 12 Long Island became the nation's first 24-hour regional cable news network. There have been a lot of changes in that quarter century, both across Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Through it all, News 12 has been there to bring Long Islanders hyper-local news.
