Police Department is mourning one of its own.
Officials say Daniel
Romano, 32, was off-duty when he was killed in a
snowmobile accident Friday night in Herkimer County.
According to Webb
Town Police, Romano collided with a tree on the Webb Snowmobile Trail System.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Preliminary
investigation shows speed was among the factors in the accident.
Romano had been a
member of the department since October 2018. He is survived by
his wife and two children. A GoFundMe page has
been set up.
