Anyone who has tickets to a New Jersey Devils game at Newark’s Prudential Center can now attend without having to wear a mask or show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination.
The venue announced the changes on Thursday after Newark Mayor Ras Baraka announced the end of the city’s mask and vaccine mandates.
Prudential Center officials say that the only exception to the end of the policy would be if a particular artist or promoter of a specific show requires masks or vaccine proof.
Guests are also free to continue wearing masks if they choose.
The Prudential Center also will no longer be accepting cash at concession stands, retail locations or the box office. Customers may use debit or credit cards and mobile payments like Apple Pay or Google Pay. Reverse ATMs will be available for any guest who needs to convert cash to a card.
