Tyrone Cradle was found guilty for a shooting that took place in 2023 outside of their home in Newark's South Ward.
Cradle had been living with his stepfather Rasool Crews but was asked to leave two days before the shooting, according to investigators.
He is scheduled to be sentenced in October.
