New York state has declared April 11 as "Craft Beer Day."

The state proclamation celebrates more than 500 craft beer breweries across the state.

Officials say the craft beer industry supports more than 22,000 jobs.

"More craft beer businesses are opening up each year, so this is great for the industry," explained Brendan Maxim, of Bright Eye Brewery in Long Beach.

Officials say New York has one of the largest craft beer market in the U.S., second only to California.
