New York state was awarded $228.2 million on Monday to help launch its connect-all municipal infrastructure program.
The program will provide thousands of homes statewide to have access to high-speed broadband internet.
The announcement comes as Gov. Kathy Hochul and Sen. Chuck Schumer have been pushing to connect all New Yorkers to high-speed internet particularly in areas currently unserved or underserved by broadband.
