New video shows just how extreme the crash of a small plane in North Lindenhurst was.
In the video sent to News 12 by a viewer, the plane can be seen going down, as well as the fireball that followed.
The pilot has been identified as 23-year-old Fayzul Chowdhury from the Bronx.
Police tell News 12 that he remains in critical condition this morning.
A New Jersey mother, Roma Gupta, was killed in the crash. Police say her 33-year-old daughter Reeva is also still in critical condition.
According to an attorney for the owner of the plane, Farmingdale-based Danny Waizman Flight School, the mother and daughter went up in the plane on a "discovery flight" bought on Groupon.
It was around 3 p.m. on Sunday when the pilot radioed the Republic Air Tower there was an emergency.
The plane crashed a mile from the runway.
News 12 is told the pilot is a certified instructor with commercial ratings, and the plane was up to date on safety inspections.
A preliminary investigation will be available in two to three weeks.
