A brand-new museum at Sands Point Preserve opened its doors on Veterans Day - giving patrons a chance to see and experience the history of military simulation.
Featuring a modern-day flight simulator, as well as one of the first devices used by the military to train pilots using simulated flight, the Navy Simulation Museum is a treasure trove for anyone interested in aviation.
The hope is that this look at the past will inspire future generations.
The museum is open Saturdays and Sundays from Noon to 5 p.m.. Admission is $5, however veterans, as well as kids under the age of 10 can check it out for free.
