The state Health Department is proposing new regulations for our drinking water.
The proposed regulations, which are now up for review until Dec. 5, would mandate testing, reporting and public notification for 19 chemical compounds.
Additionally, it would set new standards for four additional PFAS, or what are known as "forever chemicals" known to cause health problems.
After the public review period, the new regulations will be submitted for a final ruling.
