Residents are raising concerns over the pollution seen at a pond in North Merrick.
Those who drive near Mullener Pond say the litter in the area is out of control.
"Every time I come back from fishing the bays, I come along the parkway, and I look," says Neil Ciampa, of Westbury. "I see plastic bags everywhere and bottles piling up every day."
Ciampa doesn't live in the area but those who do were frustrated at the trash in their backyard.
"It's not supposed to be a litter dispensary, it's supposed to be a pond," says Amanda Anzelone, of North Merrick.
While it's not their source of drinking water, neighbors say they worry about what it is doing to the wildlife.
Anzelone says she is going to let her neighbors know and they're going to do their best to clean up the pond.
