A nearly 300-year-old Bible was discovered in the village of Roslyn.
Researchers found the Bible in the attic of the Roslyn Landmark Society.
It belonged to Hendrik Onderdonk, one of the village founders.
The Bible contains Scriptures written in Dutch, maps and vignette drawings. It also has handwritten notes of wedding and birth dates of Onderdonk family members.
"It brings back the history to understand how it all began, where we came from and just to see how everything has evolved is a true gem," says Roslyn Landmark Society Executive Director Jennifer Lister.
The Bible will be on be on display at the renovated Roslyn Grist Mill's education center
