The Navy's tall ships sailed into the Nautical Mile in Freeport Thursday for the first time since the pandemic.
The annual tradition was canceled last year due to COVID-19 concerns.
Freeport leaders welcomed the U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen to port.
"We thank you for your commitment to serve the United States of America and appreciate your patriotic spirit," says Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy. "We are honored to have you here and honored to host you."
The ships will be on the Nautical Mile until Sunday.
U.S. Navy ships have docked in Freeport for nearly 20 years.
