Nassau spared the worst of latest nor’easter

<p>Eastern Suffolk County saw the worst of Tuesday's snowfall, but the third nor'easter in 10 days still left a mess in Nassau.</p>

Eastern Suffolk County saw the worst of Tuesday's snowfall, but the third nor'easter in 10 days still left a mess in Nassau.
Rosanna Kluth was out shoveling her Bethpage driveway for the third time in less than two weeks.
"We are blessed that we only got a...well a little more than a dusting," she said.
In Levittown, homeowners said they were thankful there wasn't too much of the wet, heavy snow to move.
On Farmedge Road, John Stevens was digging out his neighbors with a snowblower.
"We help each other out," he said. "We just do everybody that's not home. Most people are working right now. I'm lucky I'm off."
In Glen Cove, residents say they barely got anything.
"It was nice," said Tom Vacchio. "It was clean. It was easy. We thought it was going to be worse than it was."
In Syosset, Joseph Porcu had had enough with the winter weather.
"Hopefully this is the last one," he said. "We're ready for St. Patrick's Day, and let's start spring."
Spring starts next week. More snow may arrive Tuesday.
