Nassau County police say they?ve caught the man responsible for 18 bank robberies in the county since 2006.
Michael Miller, the unemployed construction worker accused of the crimes, says he robbed the banks to support his wife and two children.
Police say Miller would rob banks when he was out of work. They say he amassed between $30,000 and $40,000. Miller is only charged with 17 bank robberies so far, including that of a Franklin Square Commerce Bank last week.
Miller?s neighbors say it?s a case of mistaken identity, but Nassau police say they have his image on surveillance cameras and that his demand notes were distinct.
Miller is being held on $170,000 cash bail or $340,000 bond.
