A 63-year-old accused of attempting to get a minor into his Jeep with the promise of money was arrested Saturday, Nassau police say.

Police say Robert Chapman, of Bellerose, approached a 15-year-old in a North New Hyde Park parking lot on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

The minor refused to get into the vehicle, and Chapman drove away.

He was later arrested and is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
