Nassau executive: Sheriff's deputy bitten by dog while serving warrant at Hicksville home

A Nassau sheriff's deputy was attacked by a dog in Hicksville, according to the county executive.
Bruce Blakeman says the deputy was bitten while serving a warrant at a house on Maple Street.
News 12 is told the deputy was bitten four times on the leg and once on the arm.
Blakeman says Animal Control was sent to remove the dog from the home.
The deputy is being treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening at Nassau University Medical Center.
