Opioid settlements worth $5M to pad programs that fight addiction in Nassau County

The grants will benefit programs focusing on opioid education, treatment, prevention and enforcement.

Nassau county is padding the programs that fight opioid addiction.
A total of $5 million in new grant money will be distributed to three organizations as part of ongoing opioid settlements.
That includes Catholic Health, Nassau University Medical Center and the Nassau County Police Department.
The money will be used to further programs that specialize in opioid education, treatment, prevention and enforcement.
